Artist Lucas Bononi
Lucas
Bononi (b. 1991 | Los Angeles) was educated at Grand Central Atelier in New
York, and received his BFA in painting at Academy of Art University, San
Francisco. His work explores the mystery of ontology and how it relates to the
surrounds we share. He does with his contrast of traditional and contemporary
paint handling always in an attempt as to reflect past gifts and curiosities of
the avant-garde. Lucas has exhibited in numerous group and juried exhibitions
across the U.S and internationally. A few recent honors and awards include
winning First Place, portrait Society of America Annual Members Competition for
Non-Commissioned Portrait, Best in Show Award BoldBrush Painting Competition
and Purchase Prize & Best in Show for the Annual Exhibition held at SCNY,
NY. His Work has been on the cover of
American Art Collector Magazine as well as featured in Fine Art Connoisseur,
Southwest Art, American Artist and International Artist Magazine among other
publications. Currently, Lucas is based in New York where he works from his
studio and travels regularly to teach short term workshops both in the U.S and
abroad.
