Vladimir Mukhin (Художник Владимир Мухин ) was born in the city of Karaganda, Kazakhstan, in the year 1971. He studied painting in Russia, graduating first from the Penza Art School and subsequently from the All-Russian Academy of Painting and Architecture. Currently, a Russian citizen, he lives and works in Moscow. Vladimir Mukhin's paintings were well-known not only in his home nation, but also far beyond it. With a light transient look, he is elegant and sophisticated, with aristocratic manners, wonderfully dressed. His female portraits are a communal picture; the artist selected the finest from life and literature, mixed in his own personal views and experiences, and the result is a full gallery of female portraits.

Vladimir Mukhin is sometimes referred as as the successor of the Art Nouveau style by Mukhin's critics. The storylines resemble frozen theatrical scenes, with an abundance of various types of ornamentation, a great deal of decorativeness, and everything appears to be very lovely, much more so than it would be in reality. Vladimir Mukhin's painting style is flawless; he has a keen sense of colour and harmony, and he works in genres associated with classic French Art Nouveau as well as Russian art at the turn of the century, such as secular portraits, interiors, and landscapes.
