painter who focused on Pastel Portrait and figurative paintings, with the use
of chiaroscuro applied to the treatment of the figure, either in portrait or
full body. “I generally use black paper mounted on board as support, allowing
that to work not only as background for each painting, but also as an
underlying melt when the colors set different types of shadows and values. The
key is to use the paper texture cleverly, its relief allows me to show such
effect of ‘vibration’ similar to the ‘scrubbed’ in oil painting on canvas”.
