Self-taught
painter, Guy Martinez was born on Christmas 1960 in Arlés, France. Guy characterizes the area's landscape in his own way:
colorful and powerful winds blustering on terrain that falls somewhere between
land and sea, an area where the destinies of man, animal, and earth are
intimately linked. Entering the universe
of Guy Martinez is to experience the contemporary while grounded in tradition.Having
traversed a rich journey in only a few years, Guy's body of work is marked by large
paintings with intense sensitivity, and a comical light shone on subjects we
see every day. Martinez has taken steps far from the comfort of what he knows
and is venturing into the world of art in the United States. Hitting the Royal Street art scene in the
care of French Art Network will be French painter Guy Martinez's greatest
adventure.
