Artist Gordon King
Gordon King, a world-renowned artist and watercolour painter, rose to prominence as a result of his amazing talent and incredible ability to express the personalities of his characters in the image, creating an aura of tenderness and romance surrounding them. His canvases breathe poetry contained in the master's feminine figure, thanks to the "airiness" of watercolours and the subtle movement of colour and light.
Gordon King was born in 1939 and grew up on the coast of Scotland, where he won many competitions at the age of seven. Professional education was obtained at the University of London.
After finishing his studies, he worked as an illustrator for 20 years before focusing on creativity and painting in his mid-70s. And, in the early 1980s, he rose to prominence and renown in the art world as a result of his paintings of feminine attractiveness. Women's portraits became the artist's signature style.
