Artist Kristian Mumford
Kristian Mumford is an Australian professional artist. Born in 1980. He has an art education (received a degree in landscape architecture) and studied painting with a master of watercolors, Joseph Zbukvik, but considers himself self-taught. At the moment, he has held several personal and participated in many collective exhibitions. It has 14 national and international awards.
Mumford draws inspiration from the works of classical masters, including Sir Hans Heysen, William-Adolphe Bouguereau and John Singer Sargent; as well as contemporary living artists, Ji Chen and Jeremy Lipking. He currently lives and works, constantly moving between New South Wales and Victoria, Australia, and in the summer leaves for the Floro Peninsula, which has a large coastline and mountains, where it settles at the foot of the ridge and paints landscapes, skillfully emphasizing the warm romantic beauty of South Australia making Mumford not only one of Australia's most collectible young artists, breathing new life into figurative and landscape traditions.
