The Artist(Serguei Zlenko) Sergey Zlenko was born in 1960 in Georgia and received a classical education. His works belong to the galaxy of the traditional Russian school of painting. The author finds inspiration in a wide variety of subjects. The subjects of his slave are represented by city and sea landscapes, scenes of ballet rehearsals and productions, portraits and images of other events surrounding the artist. In his portraits, Zlenko manages to capture his models in natural and spontaneous poses, while focusing on the photographic accuracy of the image. Extensive academic skills are evident in his impeccable knowledge of various techniques, as well as in successful experiments with an unusual visual angle and asymmetric compositions. His ballet cycle depicts dancers in poses that do not hide their physical stress. Paying attention to the elegance and noble posture of ballerinas, he also emphasizes concentration and strength needed in every performance. Most of his works are painted in oil on canvas or cardboard, sometimes the artist uses watercolors and pastels. Sergei Zlenko studied at the Moscow Art School at the Russian Academy of Arts, and then graduated from Moscow State Art Institute. Surikova, receiving a master's degree in fine art.
