Artist Irene Sheri Paintings
Irene Sheri, also known as Irina
Vishnevskaya, is a contemporary Ukrainian artist specializing in impressionist
and figurative romantic painting. Born in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Ukraine, she
has a diverse heritage with a French father and a Bulgarian mother. Her
artistic journey began at the age of 9 when she enrolled in the Belgorod School
of Arts for Gifted Children, later continuing her education at the College of Arts
in Odessa.
During her first year at the college, Irene Sheri caught the attention of the jury at an exhibition, earning the title of "Young Artist of the Year." This recognition continued to grow, and two years later, she received a special award for "Excellence in Art" from the Mayor. In 1991, Irene Sheri pursued higher education at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, named after I.E. Repin. In 2000, she successfully completed her studies, defending her thesis with the painting "Early Snow," which not only received high praise but also found a place in the Museum of the Academy of Arts. Her exceptional academic achievements are evident in many paintings created during her three years of study, serving as exemplary pieces at the academy.
Irene Sheri's art has garnered international recognition, with her works displayed in galleries across France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Russia, the USA, and other locations. Since 2001, she has been a proud member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Her accolades include winning the "Muses of St. Petersburg" competition in 2001, securing a grant in the painting category. In 2003, the Union of Artists of Russia honored her with a diploma acknowledging her contributions to the development of fine arts in the country. Since 2001, Irene Sheri has been creating under the pseudonym that has become synonymous with her artistic identity.
