Artist Vincenzo Irolli
The artist Vincenzo Irolli - born in September 1860 and at the age of seventeen, exhibited his first works at an exhibition in Naples.
After a successful debut, he entered the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. After graduating from the institute, he returned to his hometown, settled in his parents' country house. The artist worked very hard, but his works did not find their audience. The situation changed after the First World War, when interest in the work of Irolli Vincenzo suddenly grew. And then the artist made a huge mistake - he presented to the public everything that had been written over the years. Critics, for the abundance of paintings, accused the painter of the commercialization of art, of painting under the increased demand for his work, and very soon they began to call him an "old-fashioned artist" who became fixated on impressionism.
Vincenzo Irolli passed away in 1942.
