Douglas Hofmann Contemporary American Artist
The paintings of the American artist Douglas Hoffman were praised by critics for their unique, seemingly glowing from within, surface, meticulous detailing and softly lit forms. He skillfully combines his own painting techniques with those of past masters, which he learned from Joseph Sheppard while attending the College of Art in Maryland, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
The beautiful aura of light and atmosphere that permeates Hoffmann's works is similar to the atmosphere of Baroque paintings. He pays great attention to every detail, creating harmonious compositions with perfectly balanced color and shape.
Hoffman was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1945. After graduating from high school, he entered a business college in Baltimore, but left after a month of study because of doubts about the correct choice of a future career. He started working at a local department store, where Hofmann says he realized the importance of color design. His interest in art grew every day, and being a very gifted person, Hofmann easily made a career in painting. He has received numerous awards for his work, including first prize in an exhibition at the Peel Museum in Baltimore.
