In Nov. 1975 was born the modern contemporary American artist Jeremy Lipking in a family of professional illustrator (Santa Monica, CA, USA.). The young man's early acquaintance with art developed an excellent sense of taste - perhaps the most important component of art education. Lipkin was most inspired by artists who, in combination with the peculiar tradition of the 19th century of European art academies, emphasized the naturalistic landscape. Lipkin enrolled at the California Institute of the Arts, where he devoted himself to persevering drawing and painting, and currently teaches his craft in art workshops across the country. A versatile artist, Lipkin prefers landscapes and still lifes, however he feels obligated to be able to draw classic art objects. human figures. Painting his paintings in the open air, Lipkin imitates the nineteenth-century artists of the naturalist movement, and like those artists, Lipkin prefers to work in a cool, limited palette to create his own unique meaning and mood.
Jeremy Lipkin is a member of the California Arts Club. For the painting, Shady Grove received the Gold Medal and the Museum Director's Award in 2001, and at the 91st Annual Meeting of the California Art Club, the Gold Medal of the exhibition. His painting Antique Chair won the Museum Purchase Award at the 92nd Annual Exhibition and a Gold Medal. His work has been published in Art-Talk, Artist Magazine, Art and Antiques, American Artist, US Art, and Southwest Art magazines.
