Her vibrant oils, with their dynamic brushwork, convey an effortlessness that has taken decades of concentrated effort and focus to achieve.
“The best way that I have come up with for painting a still life is that when I set up the composition, I try to make the objects start to 'talk' to each other. And then I try to paint this conversation. ” she said
