Paul Mantes is a contemporary French Painter, architect, muralist, licensed copyist of the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay.

Mantes Recived Honors Diploma in Painting from the École des Arts Nationale in Paris. Honors degree in architecture from the École des Arts Nationale in Paris. Second Rome Prize for Painting in 1944.

Certified Architect of the City of Paris. Professor at the French National School of Arts in Paris.

As one of the best copyists of the old masters, Mantes did not advertise his own work, which until his death was known only to a limited circle of family and friends. Like the mythical Proteus, Paul Mantesreincarnated as artists of different eras and styles, presenting himself as a harsh realist, then a symbolist mystic, then a religious painter in the style of masters of the baroque or romanticism, then a modern science fiction artist or abstractionist, then recreated in his paintings the creative path of an impressionist artist. A separate album will be devoted to the last "incarnation" of the artist, which he considered his greatest creative success.
