Timothy Rees is a talented contemporary artist from the United States of America. He was born and raised in the state of Arizona.
He fond of drawing from an early age. Tim, as he was called in the family, easily made sketches and various sketches. No one doubted that he would connect his life with art, in particular painting.
And so it happened. After graduating from high school, Timothy Rees entered the art college at the animation department.
Tim was not familiar with this direction and He had found out that the learning process is just a poor idea. Despite the fact that he was in love with drawing, he did not like his studies.
Animation turned out to be too closely related to modern technology. The student dreamed of creating and writing in a classical style. He believed that overuse of computers made drawings soulless.
After graduating from the first year, Tim firmly decided that he would not be engaged in animation. And if so, then there is no point in continuing education. Tim dropped out of college.
In those years, Timothy decided to get a serious profession and entered the medical university. Drawing was supposed to remain only as a hobby. But fate decreed otherwise.
It turned out that Timothy could not live a day without his favorite pastime. He really wanted to create.
Despite the impulses for creativity, He still graduated from the university. But in his specialty, of course, he did not work a day.
In 2009, Timothy Rees moved to Chicago to study fine arts at one of the strongest academies.
A year later, Tim held his personal exhibition within the walls of the educational institution. The exhibition was a success; the works of the novice master were appreciated.
After another couple of years, Timothy was hired as an instructor at the academy. He started teaching painting.
He also conducted training seminars and courses in landscape and figurative painting for students. Classes were often held in the south of France.
The artist has mastered many styles of painting. In his work, he uses a variety of materials, ranging from a ballpoint pen to charcoal.
Timothy Rees believes that drawing is the foundation of all painting. In his opinion, drawing gives life to beautiful and powerful paintings. Drawing can teach all the skills to create a painting.
The only exceptions are the color and methods of applying the material. But this is the knowledge that every artist must acquire by himself through trial and error.
Timothy Rees prefers traditional painting. He chose this style in his youth. The artist attaches great importance to technique.
His works are distinguished by logic and thoughtfulness. There is practically no hidden symbolism in his paintings. The plot is perfectly conveyed by the competent composition, design and color.
In his classes, Timothy teaches young artists to take their time and think carefully about their actions.
Timothy takes a long time to think before taking even one stroke.
