Anna-Christine-Roda's-Paintings
Anna-Christine Roda exclusively paints portraits, or almost so. "My work is not hyper-realistic," the artist, who lives and works in Saint-Cergues, near Geneva, likes to tell us.
Anna-Christine Roda's Paintings were tightened up by the restorer, and the artist has been painting only portraits since then. For three years, he worked on a very intimate line at home, as though each of his paintings showed a little bit of humanity. A woman's face, where she baldews between her eyes and in to honour the loss of a loved one. In the cigarette butt, like a prosthetic, attached to the electrician's finger, allowing him to continue to carry the current of life down the highways of his existence.
The artwork puts us in the spotlight.A woman's piercing blue stare that lights her and permits fantasies and wishes to escape.
Anna-Christine Roda's Paintings places us in the path of persons we would encounter on the street. in her paintings separates people, replaces their uniqueness, and exposes it. Mr. and Mrs. are separated by the format. Each in their daily position and gives them a distinct atmosphere...
