Michael Van Zeyl Is A contemporary Realist American artist. Was born in 1969. For Michael Van Zeil, painting is more than a one-sided translation of the artist's point of view into a visible image on canvas. It is a captivating visual dialogue that brings light, shadow and pigment to the soul, and provides a conversation theme for future generations. At the age of seven his abilities were obvious, and he mastered a broad range of painting styles in the following decades. His paintings were especially resonant in the Dutch style of the 17th century and the impressionist style of the 19th century, his favourite genres is Figurative And Still Life Paintings 







Michael Van Zeyl Started his official studies in the American Academy of Art in Chicago, proceeded at Chicago's Historic Palette & Chisel Academy and ended in a New York Art Students League, studying with some of the finest painters who also paint natural light directly with nature. Currently, Michael is a Palette & Chisel Instructor and for several years has been the most popular instructing club.












In several public and private collections such as the United States District Court, DePaul University School of Law, the Theological Seminary of Chicago and the American Hotel Registry Michael's paintings are featured. The collections include: American Hotel Registry. Awards were awarded to him by the Portrait Society of America, the Artists' Guild and the Atlanta Portraits Society.
