Artist Alex Lashkevich (удоник лексе акеви) was born in Leningrad  (St. Petersburg) in 1964. He was a qualified architect-artist after graduating from the Academy of Arts' art school named after B.V. Ioganson and the Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after V.I. IE Repin. In 1988, he was moved to Anchorage, Alaska, as part of a UNESCO initiative, where he organised his first solo show. After that, he worked in an area unrelated to painting: entrepreneurship. However, in 2008, he resumed his active artistic career. St. Petersburg is where he lives and works. Alex Lashkevich's ingenuity and wide style can be seen on his canvases, which include sophisticated and romantic feminine pictures, stunning cityscapes, music, dances, variety shows, still lifes, and animals.

Alex Lashkevich's Paintings are in private collections in Russia, France, Greece, the Czech Republic, Germany, the United States, China, and Finland.
