Zhao Kailin's Paintings

Zhao Kailin (1961, China) was born in Anhui Province. He graduated from Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. He obtained a contract with the Kurt Svenkons Gallery in 1992-1994 and held personal oil painting shows in Stockholm, before relocating to California permanently (USA). Artist Zhao Kailin "A master of modern realistic oil painting, Zhao Kailing studied with a number of masters of the realistic style. He talks about the direct look of his seated characters, mainly ladies, with an aesthetic that speaks more of inner beauty than exterior beauty, drawing on the Western tradition of portraiture and composition as well as Chinese culture. Zhao Kailin is also a member of the American Portrait Society, and his work has been shown all around the world.
