Michelle Murray's Paintings
Michelle Murray is a well-known American artist who was born in Michigan in 1962 and raised in Ohio before relocating to Alberta, Canada. She is currently a mother of eight children and the grandmother of ten grandkids, and she resides and works in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, together with her spouse Sean and family. When Michelle Murray first started painting, she enjoyed watching her grandfather and hearing him tell stories of his great-grandfather, who had painted a church ceiling in Serra San Bruno, Italy. Back then, Michelle Murray had no notion that she would end up like him. When she started drawing a vase with her closest friend when she was fourteen, it was her first epiphany. Her lifetime enthusiasm began to blossom after she completed this sketch.
Michelle studied commercial art in her early years. She didn't start painting in oils until 2003. Her passion for oil painting began with her very first brushstroke when she discovered the paint's limitless depth and width and started utilizing all of its qualities. Michelle Murray gives her paintings vitality by using light and delicate, translucent shadows. She was able to understand the subtleties of painting from life after attending workshops with Dan Gerhartz. Women and children are Michelle's favorite subjects to paint since they are so good at expressing feelings, ideas, and moods. Michelle Murray's aim is to portray the unperceived simplicity of time, the magnificence of ordinary existence, and the beauty of the moment as it is experienced and reflected on canvas. Painting still lifes, landscapes, or figurative works may effectively capture the majesty and beauty of the extraordinary via the use of color and light movement.
