Vladimir Volegov's Paintings

Born on December 19, 1957, in Khabarovsk, Vladimir Volegov's artistic journey commenced with the simple act of drawing at the age of six. His childhood fascination with art paved the way for a career that spans continents and mediums. At the age of 14, Volegov found himself crafting towering 3-meter posters for cinemas, marking the beginning of his artistic prowess. After serving in the army, he pursued formal education at the Lviv Printing Institute in 1980, immersing himself in the rich traditions of Russian art under the influence of masters like Repin and Serov. In 1988, Volegov made Moscow his canvas, painting portraits on the iconic Arbat street. His versatility knew no bounds as he seamlessly transitioned to digital painting technologies, collaborating with publishing houses and fulfilling orders for portraits of renowned artists. Embarking on a journey to Europe in 1990, Volegov earned a living by capturing the essence of passersby on the streets of Barcelona, Berlin, and Vienna. His work didn't go unnoticed, and soon, he found himself painting portraits for prestigious galleries across France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, and Spain.

Volegov's artistic evolution took a poignant turn when he discovered the works of Giovanni Boldini during a visit to the Orsay Museum in Paris. Inspired, he delved deeper into the realms of romantic realism, drawing influence from masters like John Singer Sargent and Joaquin Sorolla. In 2006, Volegov and his wife set their roots in Spain, where he continued to cultivate his craft. The scenic beauty of the Spanish landscape became a backdrop for his evolving artistic narrative. Never one to be confined by convention, Volegov ventured into a 3D project in 2011, creating intricate dolls that mirrored the likeness of notable personalities. This diversification showcased his innovative spirit and added a new dimension to his artistic repertoire. Vladimir Volegov's sunlit canvases found homes in private collections and galleries worldwide, including Russia, Italy, Germany, Spain, Finland, Denmark, France, Austria, America, and Japan. His popularity transcends borders, with the value of his paintings steadily ascending. Central to Volegov's work is the portrayal of childhood innocence and the enigmatic allure of womanhood. His paintings resonate with the simple joys of youth, capturing moments that transport viewers back to the carefree days of childhood.

Volegov's artistic process is demystified through popular videos that unveil the magic behind the creation of his masterpieces. These visual narratives allow enthusiasts to witness the transformation of a blank canvas into a work of art. In 1980, the artist was bestowed with the "Beautiful Creation" award from the Shanghai Art Institute, marking the early recognition of his talent. Decades later, Vladimir Volegov continues to leave an indelible mark on the global art scene, solidifying his status as a masterful painter and innovator. From the bustling streets of Moscow to the tranquil landscapes of Spain, Vladimir Volegov's journey is a testament to the enduring power of artistic expression. As he continues to weave tales with his brush, each stroke serves as a brush with destiny, capturing the essence of life on canvas.
