It's difficult to imagine that Samuel Silva, a self-taught hyperrealist Portuguese artist—more accurately, a photorealist—did not attend art school and learned how to paint by doing. He produces his works with standard ballpoint pens. Silva says that he does not blend colors; instead, he merely adds many layers of ink using brushstrokes. This gives the false impression that there is color and blending when there isn't. Samuel started drawing when he was two years old and over time he refined his unique style. The process of creating such works of art is impervious to faults and blunders since ballpoint pen ink instantaneously freezes. As an attorney by profession, he doesn't make new art as frequently as other artists, but when he does, it's really masterpieces. This demonstrates once more that what an artist draws is not as essential as what they do. A genuine artist may use any medium to produce a piece of art. Samuel Silva draws using a ballpoint pen and is inspired by actual individuals in his favorite images.

Artist Antonio Duarte's Paintings

Antonio Duarte was born in Portugal and attended the Escola Artes Plasticas de Coimbra and the Escola De Belas Artes de Lisbon. The surrounding beauty is the major focus of his paintings.
