Robert Edward McGinnis, American painter and illustrator. McGinnis is known for his illustrations for book covers and for movie posters such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Barbarella, and James Bond and Matt Helm films.
with an award-winning excellence spanning over six
decades. In recognition of his excellent paintings, in 1993 he was inducted
into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame.
Robert's works have been viewed by billions of people around the world.
Robert has created paintings for many magazine articles (The Saturday
Evening Post, Good Housekeeping magazine, Guidepost magazine, National
Geographic). In addition, he created cover paintings for over 1,200 books, playing
a significant role in popularizing fiction in the 1960s and
1970s. His work spans many genres and themes, from detective novels to
thrillers, gothic novels, detective stories and novels.
Robert has also painted covers for over 40 movie posters (including
James Bond 007 Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are
Forever, Live and Let Die; Breakfast at Tiffany's; Strange Couple
";" Barbarella "). His movie posters feature stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Sean
Connery, Roger Moore, Walter Mattau, Jack Lemmon, Jane Fonda, Burt

scenes and scenes from the Old West.
Robert is a very humble and unassuming person, and he is very
