Alejandro Decinti's Paintings

Alejandro Decinti is a Chilean-Spanish artist who was born in 1973 and attended the University of Chile, finishing with a degree in fine arts. Dictatorship permeated his boyhood, so it's no surprise that one of his shows is titled "Little America," after Pablo Neruda's poem. His art, like Neruda's poetry, is comprised of the contrasts prevalent in his nation at the time. Since 2002, and till today, the artist has lived and worked in Spain, near Madrid.

The abduction of the Phoenician princess Europa by the god Zeus, who took the form of a white bull. by Alejandro DeCinti. It is still not known exactly why a certain part of the world was called Europe and what the etymology of this name actually means. The myth echoes the trend of transferring the intellectual center of our civilization from the Middle East to Europe in the second half of the 1st millennium BC. It is quite possible that in the 21st century this Middle Eastern princess will move to the Far East. At least the Asian dragon has already applied.

In Madrid, he co-founded the Decinti & Villalon studio with the Chilean artist Oscar Villalon, where they teach drawing and actively promote painting. Furthermore, he exhibits his paintings at a modest gallery in Liege, but due to his exceptional talent, he stands out from the crowd of artists represented. The presence of his paintings in the exhibition, like the works of Goya in the gallery of Flemish art, pours forth the "pleasure of colour" on her.

"If the purpose of modern art is to remove anything that reminds us of modern reality, Alejandro Decinti has achieved perfection in this." Alejandro Decinti managed to combine tradition and innovation, establishing his own painting laws, adding to the generally accepted ones just a few nuances from the world of digital painting, so simple that the artist did not even have to attend computer courses for this, which gave us clarity and openness - these are the features that have always characterised Alejandro Decinti.
