Heide Presse was born in Heidelberg in Germany in 1958, and raised in Monroe, Louisiana.

Heide’s maternal grandfather was an architect and artist in Germany, and when she received the award at the age of 14 as the best artist in her class, it became clear that Heide, like her grandfather, would be engaged in painting. Heide soon entered the State University. Stephen F. Austin in Nakodoches, Texas, and graduating in 1980, received a bachelor of art degree in graphic design. Heide Presse currently lives with her husband and son in Tampa, Florida.

Heide loves to study 19th century history and applied art, and in order to give his work historical authenticity, Heide herself sews quilts and retro-style clothing accessories. The artist specifically collects antique antiques, which subsequently form the basis of her work, and her studio is home to chests, ceramics, baskets, textiles, lanterns and various items from the mid-19th century. The artist is impressed to depict on her canvases everyday moments of the life of ordinary people, using rich colors and bright light. Technique watercolor, oil. Augusta Strobl was to married Hilber (1807-1871). The portrait was painted in 1827 by Artist Joseph Karl Stieler (1781-1858). 

 Josef Karl Stieler was a German portrait painter.

 Stieler was born into the family of August Friedrich Stieler (1736-1789), a seal-carver at the Electoral Mint in Mainz. The Stieler family was known as a family of artists, among whom were painters of coats of arms and seals, engravers and painters.

 Stieler made his first steps in art under the guidance of his father, who died in 1789. In the following years, Stieler successfully educated himself in pastel and miniature. At the age of 17, Stieler undertook a trip to Würzburg. There, for almost two years, he was a student of the court painter Christoph Fesel, who in turn studied with Anton Raphael Mengs. Fesel Stieler studied oil painting. Then Stieler went to study at the Vienna Academy of Arts under Heinrich Friedrich Füger and made his debut as a portrait painter.

 In 1805-1806, Shtiler spent at the courts of Budapest and Warsaw, where he was simply inundated with orders. In 1807 he accepted an offer to move to Paris and work with François Gérard. In 1808 he returned to Germany and settled as an independent artist in Frankfurt am Main.

 King Maximilian I invited Stieler to his court in Munich, which became home for Stieler. He was appointed by the king to the court painters.

 For King Ludwig I, Stieler painted the famous Gallery of Beauties in Nymphenburg Palace.

 In 1824, Stieler co-founded the Munich Art Association. In 1833 he married the poet Josephine von Miller. They had three children

 Stieler spent the last years of his life in Tegernsee, where on the Leeberghang hill he built himself a summer house on a land donated in 1829 by the king.

 The king saw Augusta at the city ball. She, the daughter of the chief royal accountant, looked like a fairy in her puffy-sleeved muslin dress, with a pink-and-red scarf around her thin waist, and a bow of the same color in her brown hair.

 During the dance, King Ludwig said to the girl: “Dear Augusta, you just have to wish, and I will fulfill your every desire ...” The beauty answered without hesitation: “Your Majesty, promote the assistant forester Hilber. He is my fiancé."

 In any other country, under another king, this assistant forester would have been appointed the next day to guard the farthest corner in the farthest forest of the kingdom. However, in the nineteenth century, the painting was severely cropped on the left, and the whole vista from the terrace vanished. Brigida is dressed in a silver satin and lace gown. Her look makes it clear that she is affluent and of position. The angle of her gaze and the perspective of the structures suggest that the picture was hung high—much higher than the spectator. This relatively huge (99 x 152.5 cm) artwork is now on display at the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Orpheus, the singer, resided in Thrace in northern Greece. He had a tremendous ability for music, and his popularity spread across the Greek nation. Eurydice fell in love with him because of the music. She eventually married him. Their joy, however, was fleeting. She left her spouse and went into the wilderness. A snake curled around her leg and stung her. Eurydice screamed in agony and fright and collapsed on the grass. Orpheus rushed to his wife after hearing her pleading scream from afar. But when he saw the big black wings flashing through the trees, he knew it was Death carrying Eurydice to the underworld.

Orpheus was overcome with sadness. He abandoned everybody and spent days alone trekking through the woods, singing his heart out. And the force of these gloomy melodies was so strong that the trees abandoned their positions and surrounded the singer. Animals emerged from their burrows, birds fled their nests, and stones became closer. Everyone heard his longing for his lover, and Orpheus determined to visit the realm of the dead himself.

Orpheus sailed down the Styx, passing unknown people's spirits and souls. When he played his lyre, he melted Hades' heart. Orpheus was instructed by Hades that he might take Eurydice with him on one condition: she would accompany him out of the underworld's cave, but he should not look at her before she left the realm of the dead, or he would lose her forever.

Orpheus was overjoyed, thinking it would be a simple chore for someone as patient as himself; he thanked the gods and returned to the world. However, after failing to hear Eurydice's steps, he began to suspect that the gods had duped him. Eurydice was truly behind him, but like a shadow, she needed to return to the light in order to reclaim her complete femininity. Orpheus lost hope only a few feet from the exit and turned to see Eurydice behind him, but her shadow was hurled back into the realm of the dead, now forever.

Orpheus attempted to return to Hades, but a person cannot enter Hades twice while still alive. According to many versions of the tale, Orpheus started to sing a mournful song to his lyre, pleading for death so that he may eternally be with Eurydice. He is eventually slain by the animals that rip him apart. Another account has Zeus striking him with lightning because he was afraid Orpheus would divulge the mysteries of the underworld to the humans.
