Suchitra Bhosle was born and raised in Bangalore, India. From childhood, she plunged into the world of painting, in her family there were two artists: her father and grandmother - those who helped her at an early age to understand the value of art. At the age of nine, Suchitra proved her artistic abilities by representing India and winning the international art competition under the auspices of UNESCO. While studying at school and college, Suchitra continued to paint in oils and exhibited her works in Bangalore. After graduating from graduate school and receiving a master's degree in marketing, armed with knowledge, Suchitra entered the corporate world (industrial lighting) and worked there for several years before deciding to move to the USA in 2001.
She reoriented her energy from "commercial rails" to a love of painting and made the most of the learning opportunities available in the United States, she studied with artists whose work inspired her and eventually became an integral part of her art. Suchitra plunged into the learning process, experimented a lot with environments, primarily with oil paint, and developed her skills and style, studied the works of masters, from whom she took an example. Richard Schmid, Jeremy Lipking, Scott Christensen, Dan Gerhards and Sherry McGraw - these are the masters of painting who had the greatest influence on the creativity of Suchitra. Now she lives and works in Sacramento, California, when she is not involved in painting, she finds joy in teaching painting and drawing techniques at a local school.

Uday Bhan Singh ( कलाकार उदयभान सिंह ) was born in Uttar Pradesh in 1984. In 1996 he came to Kanpur to study, but not as an artist, but as a doctor!

John was easily one of the most humble and unassuming artists I have met. He was gifted and was a favourite of his guru K B Kulkarni. John was from Belgaum and was nurtured by the well known artist and art teacher from Belgaum - K B Kulkarni.His command on figures was exceptional. He was equally at ease with all mediums - watercolours, oils, acrylic, pastels. He mostly painted young ladies and I can visualise several of his paintings years after having seen them. While John had great skill and he could recreate the exact skin tones, he did not make the mistake of getting trapped in the technique. His art was more about portraying the beauty and the sensuality of the subject he painted. While he was an acknowledged master of figurative art, he did paint several wonderful landscapes. John never speak negative about other artists or anybody else for that matter. The only thing that mattered to him was his art. All those who were fortunate to see him paint would get mesmerized by the easy manner with which he would paint, the deftness of his strokes and the magical realisation for the viewer to witness the painting getting created so effortlessly. His brush strokes appeared so simple yet the end result of unbelievable just the way we have seen the strokes of tennis legend Roger Federer.

Born in 1894, in what is now Bangladesh, Hemendranath Mazumdar was a painter of exceptional talent. Although he was praised for his fine treatment of pastels, watercolors and chalks, his real skill lay in the way he handled the oil medium.Women of his native (erstwhile) Bengal, most bathing or draped in wet saris are considered Mazumdar`s classical trademark. A renowned and thriving painter of the European academic style in the Kolkata of 1920s, Hemendranath was a close associate of Abanindranath Tagore but was never won over by the ideals of the Neo-Bengal School that the Tagores founded. aking inspiration from this incident, many academic artists, such as Hemendranath, Bhabani Charan Laha and Atul Bose joined the Ranadaprasad Gupta`s Jubilee Art Academy, which was founded in 1897, in a break away gesture. This taking control of events and defying authority made Mazumdar aware of the necessity to follow one`s own instincts rather than sticking to a particular movement or group. He became one of the few Indian artists of the early twentieth century who enjoyed both monetary success and critical appreciation. In 1921, Mazumdar won the gold medal for his painting `Reminiscence` at an exhibition in Mumbai. In the same year another of his paintings was awarded the first prize by the Society of Fine Arts in Kolkata.After Independence, in 1947, Hemendranath was invited to paint a mural to decorate the All India exhibition, in which he excelled all his previous work. He painted its panels with several scenes of the life in Bengal he grew up with. Painting this large mural drained much of the old artist`s health, and after a year, in 1948, he passed away, leaving only an amazing heritage of works behind for his admirers.

His work focuses on unpacking understandings of the human body-mind through a trifold practice of dance as art, science and ritual, and on the proposals for change that these understandings may hold for our contemporary world.His works have ranged from performance, video, installation and exhibition, to writing and archiving.
