Tang Wei Ming was born in 1971 in Zhou Yong, Hunan, Province of China. In 1991, Wei Ming graduated from the Art Department of Hunan College, where he specialized in oil painting. In 2001, Wei Ming was accepted to graduate school under the Painting program at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Tan's painting “The Girl with the Fan” was awarded the second prize at an exhibition organized for the prestigious “Charles B. Van” scholarship holders. This famous painting was selected for May 2001 as a “Chinese Oil Painting” issue and is now in a private collection. Additional work called “Peeping” by oil was shown at the Exhibition in Hunan, China in 2003. Tang was honored, his works were acquired and exhibited at the Beijing Museum of Fine Arts. A small group of exclusive galleries in the United States and China represent his work.
