Austrian Orientalist painter Franz Xaver Kosler was born August 16, 1864, in Vienna. He started his creative career in 1881 after being accepted into the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. He trained under renowned Orientalist Leopold Carl Müller (1834–1892) from 1884 to 1885; Franz Xaver Kosler's genre settings and portraits show Müller's influence.
Paintings by the early 20th-century Spanish artist Enrique Serra y Auque ( Enric Serra Auqué ) are rarely present in museum collections outside of Spain. There is not a lot of information available regarding the artist's life. He is known to have been born in Barcelona, to have studied painting at the School of Fine Arts, and to have travelled to Rome in 1878 when he was eighteen years old in order to complete his study in the arts. The artist rarely left for Paris or Barcelona throughout his tenure there and continued to paint there until his death. Enric Serra Auqué created genre paintings, portraits, and scenes from the Roman countryside. His art frequently depicts landscapes with an abandoned church or another historic structure standing alone in the middle of nature. Enric Serra Auqué signed each artwork with his own name and the words "ROMA" - "Rome" next to it. Despite the clarity and simplicity of their compositions, Serra y Auque's paintings are distinguished by ambiguity and mystery, muted colours, and sombre tones.
Kamil Aslanger was born in Istanbul in 1949. He graduated from the Turkish Military Academy in 1969 after graduating from Selimiye Military Secondary School and Kuleli Military High School, and he resigned in 1979 after completing his compulsory service year as a gendarmerie officer. Aslanger, who took up painting after retiring, spent his entire time to painting in the style of Orientalism and Ottoman history. He is a self-taught (autodidact) artist. Émile Deckers Studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, Belgium then Travelled to France To continue his study at in Paris by the Two great Painters Charles Auguste Émile Durand, and Évariste Carpentier. He won the first prize in anatomy and the first prize in painting in 1904, was a medalist of the Belgian government in 1904 (higher competition for painting from a living model in 1906), and received the Donnay prize (travel grant). He was twenty-one years old when he won first prize in historical composition and was named member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts' Jury in 1911. He was in the lead.

J.-F. Portel studied painting at the Brussels Academy of Arts under the guidance of François Navez, then in Paris with Paul Delaroche. In 1842, the artist won the Great Rome Prize and set off on a trip to Europe and the Middle East. After returning to his homeland in 1847, he held the post of director of the Academy of Arts in Ghent and opened his own art workshop. In 1874 Portel made a trip to Morocco; on his return, he heads the Brussels Academy of Painting.
In addition to canvases dedicated to the East, he painted portraits, pictures of historical and religious themes. He also performed artwork for the Cathedral of St. Jacob in Brussels. Portel's works belong to the neoclassical and romantic styles of painting. His work greatly influenced the development of the Belgian art school. Carl Haag was born in Erlangen, Bavaria, and studied at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Munich. He began his career as an illustrator and oil painter of portraits and architectural subjects, but in 1847 he relocated to England to study English watercolour methods. Following that, he committed himself to watercolours.
In 1850, Carl Haag was made an associate of the Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours, and in 1853, he was elected a full member. He was also a favorite of Queen Victoria. Between 1858 and 1860, he traveled to the Middle East, initially residing in Cairo for over a year and sharing a studio with artist Frederick Goodall.
Carl Haag later visited Jerusalem, Lebanon, and Syria before returning to Cairo. During this time, he drew several drawings, which he later turned into paintings after returning to London. In 1873-74, he returned to Egypt to acquire ideas for new Oriental paintings.
Carl Haag was a prolific and influential Holy Land painter. Carl Haag became well-known for his tightly drawn and carefully detailed paintings of Eastern topics. He resigned in 1903, and at the end of his life, Carl Haag departed England for the newly unified German Empire, where he died in Oberwesel.
