“Five years ago I challenged myself and my entire 32-year career - I decided to try in a new art genre for myself - magic realism. Sirens are a modern interpretation of the mythical creatures described in Homer's Odyssey. My paintings are paired with artistic descriptions, which gives additional visualization to this magical world. Each picture is a part of an amazing story about the life of the sirens, I hope in my work everyone will find their own story and meaning. "

In 1961, Mark Heine was born into a family that was always driven by the creative. His father and mother were both applied artists and designers, operating a massive warehouse studio in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The making of art on a grand scale was around every corner. Mark’s childhood was spent wandering through the studio, absorbing the progress and process of the monumental projects underway. It was art by the ton, measured in yards, not inches, and worked in all matter of media ... plaster, resin, concrete, fibreglass, wood, stained glass, tapestry – and, of course, paint. It’s what all the family did and does to this day ... art. Even the family vacations were spent sketching the architecture or immersed in the great galleries of the world. His work has also been featured in numerous publications, including International Artist Magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, Studio magazine, Magazin’Art, Applied Arts magazine, Geo Magazine, New York Optimist magazine, Focus magazine, and a number of newspapers and television features. An accomplished instructor, Mark’s seminars on his technique and unique approach are in demand and have been hosted by various art groups in North America and Europe.

Artist Fulvio de Marinis (Italian artist)

Fulvio De Marinis was born in Naples on April 2, 1971. In 1992 he graduated from the Art Institute "U. Boccioni" in Naples with a degree in the art of goldsmith and took part in the competition "Jewels in paintings by Piero della Francesca". In the same year he exhibited his paintings at the Clepsidra (Hourglass) gallery in Naples. In 1993, he entered the Academy of Arts of Naples, where he attended the sculpture course by maestro Perez.

But painting became his great passion and soon he decided to devote himself entirely to it. Fulvio De Marinis's name is rapidly gaining popularity overseas: galleries from England and the United States are vying for his work, and several paintings have become central exhibits in private collections.

Artist Rudolf Swoboda (Austrian artist)

Rudolf Swoboda (4 October 1859 – 24 January 1914), sometimes given the epithet of The Younger, was a 19th-century Austrian painter, born in Vienna. He studied under his uncle Leopold Carl Müller, and voyaged with him to Egypt in 1880. He was a well-known Orientalist. His sister was the portrait painter Josefine Swoboda, also well-known for her portraits of the British royal family. In 1886, Queen Victoria commissioned Swoboda to paint several of a group of Indian artisans who had been brought to Windsor as part of the Golden Jubilee preparations. Victoria liked the resulting paintings so much that she paid Swoboda's way to India to paint more of her Indian subjects. Swoboda painted many of the ordinary people of India in a grouping of small (no more than eight inches high) paintings which resulted.While in India, he stayed, part of the time, with John Lockwood Kipling, and met his son Rudyard Kipling. The younger Kipling was unimpressed with Swoboda, writing to a friend about two "Austrian maniacs" who thought they were "almighty" artists aiming to "embrace the whole blazing Upon his return from India, he also painted (in 1888 and 1889) two portraits of Abdul Karim (the Munshi), Victoria's favourite Indian servant. Most of these Indian paintings hang at Osborne House, once Victoria's residence on the Isle of Wight. The record price paid for a Swoboda painting was for The Carpet Menders, which sold in 2008 for 2.6 million USD at Christies.

A passionate artist driven by traditional ideas of how beauty should be represented, William formed the intellectual basis to his work under the tutelage of Professor Regius Peter Davidson of Oxford University. William travelled widely through Europe with Peter and his wife, Professor Jane Stevenson, effectively being given a Grand Tour as a fair swap for his driving skills. After graduating, William was offered a place at the Prince of Wales' Institute of Architecture but was advised by them to take the position of assistant to Alec Cobbe, artist, restorer and collector. Living in at Hatchlands Park, Surrey where The Cobbe Collection is based, William was to assist in various projects including an exhibition for the Queens Gallery, Buckingham Palace and large-scale designs for interiors in historic houses such as Goodwood House, Petworth House and Hatchlands Park. He lived at the latter back in 1996, working with restorer and interiors expert, Alec Cobbe. Over the past 25 years, William has undertaken regular portrait commissions for private clients and produced artworks for exhibitions and collectors across the world. His work also includes period decoration and exhibition design in places such as Christie’s and the Building of Bath Museum, also known as The Museum of Bath Architecture.
